If you don’t already know her work, Sex in Berlin is a podcast that explores Berlin’s rich and varied sexual culture. Nike approaches these topics with curiosity, intelligence, and a refreshing openness, often trying out many of the things she discusses with her guests firsthand. Beyond the podcast, she is also a cultural studies scholar and feminist activist.
Our conversation focused on what it means to craft intimacy as a profession: the emotional dynamics, the practical realities, and the moments of human connection that emerge in unexpected places.
